Cleaners Fulham Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Cleaners Fulham in respect of our operations and supply chains. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking in our business and in the businesses with which we work.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Cleaners Fulham is committed to conducting business ethically, fairly, and with respect for fundamental human rights. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This means we will not knowingly engage with, support, or benefit from any activities that involve forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, deceptive recruitment, or exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
Our leadership team is responsible for ensuring that this commitment is reflected in our daily operations, in our decision-making, and in the expectations we set for employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Cleaners Fulham provides cleaning and related services. Our supply chains primarily include providers of cleaning products and equipment, facilities services, recruitment and staffing agencies, and other professional and operational support services.
We recognise that certain parts of the cleaning and facilities sector, including the use of temporary or migrant labour and international product sourcing, may pose a heightened risk of labour exploitation. We therefore treat modern slavery as a key ethical and operational risk that requires ongoing attention.
Policies and Governance
Our zero-tolerance stance is supported by internal policies that set clear expectations for ethical conduct, responsible sourcing, and respect for workers. These policies include standards on fair pay, working hours, health and safety, and non-discrimination. We expect everyone working with or for Cleaners Fulham to comply with these standards at all times.
We are committed to continual improvement of our governance framework so that risks of modern slavery are identified early and addressed effectively.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We work only with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of our due diligence process, we assess prospective suppliers on their labour practices and ethical standards. This may include requesting evidence of their own modern slavery policies, codes of conduct, and relevant certifications.
We reserve the right to carry out audits or request independent audits of key suppliers, particularly where risk indicators are present. These audits may cover recruitment practices, working conditions, documentation of employment, grievance procedures, and compliance with local labour laws. Where issues are identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within a defined timeframe or, if necessary, terminate the relationship.
Training and Awareness
We seek to build awareness of modern slavery risks among our managers, supervisors, and staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and day-to-day supervision of cleaning teams. Training focuses on recognising signs of exploitation, understanding reporting routes, and promoting a culture in which concerns can be raised without fear of reprisal.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
Cleaners Fulham encourages employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our operations or supply chains. Reports can be made through our internal management channels or using the whistleblowing procedures set out in our internal policies.
All concerns will be taken seriously and handled sensitively. We will investigate reports promptly and, where appropriate, take corrective action, notify relevant authorities, or end commercial relationships. We are committed to ensuring that no one who raises a concern in good faith suffers victimisation or retaliation.
Monitoring, Measurement and Annual Review
We recognise that preventing modern slavery is an ongoing process rather than a one-time exercise. We therefore monitor our practices, supplier relationships, and risk profile on a regular basis. Key aspects of this monitoring include procurement reviews, audit findings, training completion, and the number and nature of any reported concerns.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be reviewed at least once every 12 months. As part of the annual review, we will consider changes in legislation, industry best practice, audit outcomes, and feedback from stakeholders. Where necessary, we will update our policies, procedures, and training to strengthen our approach and address any identified gaps.
Approval and Implementation
This statement has been approved by the management of Cleaners Fulham, who are responsible for its implementation and for ensuring that our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery is embedded across the business and our supply chains.
We will make this statement available to employees, suppliers, clients, and other interested parties, and we remain committed to transparency in demonstrating the steps we are taking to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
